Visionflex hardware chosen by NSW Health for Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) Digital Uplift program
NSW Health is progressing with its Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) program to improve access to timely specialist advice and coordinated care through virtual models of care.
Visionflex is proud to have been awarded a contract to supply clinical hardware to NSW Health hospitals and health services as part of the RPM Digital Uplift program.
As part of the contract, Visionflex will supply 127 GEIS® General Examination Cameras and 162 sets of HD Video Camera Glasses that include the Visionflex Transmitter and Receiver kits.
The NSW Health RPM program supports earlier intervention and enables more care to be delivered closer to home across regional, rural and remote communities.
Supporting Hospital in the Home models
The Visionflex hardware rollout will support Hospital in the Home (HITH) services by equipping clinicians with clinical-grade technology to remotely monitor patients in community and home settings.
This model enables clinically appropriate treatment, monitoring and recovery to take place outside the hospital while maintaining connection to specialist and acute care teams when required. Rather than replacing existing care pathways, it extends clinical oversight beyond the hospital setting.

Enabling care closer to home
For people living in regional, rural and remote NSW, access to timely healthcare can be limited by distance and workforce availability.
Remote patient monitoring helps address these challenges by enabling more clinical oversight outside traditional hospital settings while maintaining continuity of care.
By supporting monitoring and recovery at home, the program helps reduce unnecessary travel, strengthen connections between patients and their healthcare teams, and support more care to be delivered safely in the community.
Looking ahead for out-of-hospital community care
The RPM Digital Uplift program reflects the growing role of virtual care in Australia’s health system.
The Visionflex hardware rollout will strengthen out-of-hospital community care, including Hospital in the Home (HITH), by equipping clinicians with clinical-grade technology to remotely monitor patients and support safe, high-quality care in community and home settings.
